Hunter Homes Colorado was established in August 2023 by Realtor® and Owner Terry Hunter. Terry has a distinct advantage as a realtor as she has worked her way up from early beginnings as Pod Assistant and Transaction Coordinator. For seven years, working with hundreds of real estate agents and assisting with their marketing and transactions from Listing through Closing, Terry reviewed and processed thousands of contracts and disclosures. Gaining exposure to the many facets of real estate has allowed Terry to develop knowledge and a strong skill set to help her clients and to offer a deep understanding of the buying & selling processes. Terry has over 11 years’ experience in real estate and is passionate about her field. Her clients have expressed their gratitude for her dedication, listening skills, and hard work. She has earned the Commitment to Excellence (C2EX) and At Home with Diversity (AHWD) designations to better assist her clients professionally and ethically.
Prior to real estate, Terry served in the United States Army as a Personnel Administration Specialist. She managed soldiers as they were in and out processing from the organization. She maintained records and accountability for all the soldiers assigned to the unit and conveyed those reports to upper management. Terry served in numerous places throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia, Africa, and was deployed to Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm. As a veteran, Terry is disciplined and driven. She is also involved as a community member and supporter of the local Healing Warriors Program and sits on the Board of Directors for VAREP (Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals) Northern Colorado Chapter and has earned the Military and Veterans Housing Certification (MVHC).
Terry graduated from Austin Community College with a degree in Criminal Justice. Her goal was to become a Private Investigator and help find missing children. After graduation, she did related work conducting surveillance for a Private Investigator and later worked as an Investigator for the Texas Attorney General’s Office. Born in the small town of Craig, Colorado, Terry returned to Colorado in 1999 putting down roots and starting a family in Fort Collins. Her daughter Allison is a 4th generation graduate of CSU with a degree in Health and Exercise Science. Her son Shawn is a U.S. Marine with an Associate Degree in Finance from Front Range Community College and is attending CSU pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance. Terry enjoys bible studies, spending time with friends, board games with family, racquetball, paddle-boarding, kayaking, and biking.
